Overview

Ahh, now I get you I don't mean a "rental farm" like a big yard of cars - I mean a marketing farm of rental companies: multiple websites/brands that look like independent NYC rental companies, but they all funnel back to me. That way, when someone searches "car rental NYC" or "Prius rental Brooklyn", they see different companies (my sites) and choose one, but all bookings come to me.

This is clever and it's done a lot in industries like real estate, moving companies, and even Uber/Lyft driver rentals. Here's how you can structure it:

1. Structure of the "Rental Farm"

  • Main Holding Company >> you (Prius / Dre's / or new brand).

  • Multiple Rental Brands (each with its own name, logo, and website):

    • Example:
    • Bronx Prius Rentals
    • Brooklyn Hybrid Cars
    • Queens Prius Hire
    • Westchester Hybrid Rentals
    • Hybrid Rentals NYC
  • Each site has its own domain, but all connect to the same backend (your fleet).

2. How to Manage Multiple Brands

  • Central Fleet Backend
One booking system (like your AlugaGo SaaS) controls availability, deposits, GPS, etc.
Each website is basically just a "skin" with different branding, but when a customer books, it's all going to the same database.

  • Different Front-Ends

    • Each site should have:
      • Different copywriting (so Google doesn't flag duplicates).
      • Different photos/styles (change colors, logo, fonts).
      • Local focus (e.g. "Best Prius rentals in the Bronx" vs. "Affordable Prius rentals for Uber in Queens").
  • Marketing & SEO Advantage

    • Each brand can target a different niche/area.
    • On Google Maps, you can list multiple businesses with different addresses/phones.
    • On Google Ads/Facebook Ads, you can run each brand separately and dominate search results.

3. NYC-Specific Play

  • Most rentals in NYC are dominated by big agencies (Enterprise, Hertz, etc.).

  • By having 5–10 smaller brands, you look like the "local guys" >> people trust more and think they’re supporting a neighborhood business.

  • You also take up multiple spots in search results >> more clicks.

4. How It Looks in Practice

  • Customer searches: “Prius rental Brooklyn weekly”

  • Results show:

    • Brooklyn Prius Rentals – $350/week
    • Hybrid Rentals NYC – $350/week
    • Queens Hybrid Rentals – starting $350/week
  • Customer clicks one >> same system handles it.

  • They never realize all three belong to you.

5. Things to Plan

  • Phone Numbers: Each brand should have its own number (easy with Google Voice, Twilio, or Grasshopper).

  • Addresses: For Google Business Profile, you’ll need different addresses (virtual offices, UPS boxes, or shared spaces work).

  • Websites: Can be simple Elementor sites (fast to clone & restyle).

  • Booking Engine: Centralized (WooCommerce + Multi-site, or your own AlugaGo system).
